Bristol, CT - As the sport of Arena Football quickly catches on around the world so does the hobby of collecting the trading cards for this fast paced sport. With most every other collection, NFL, NBA, MLB, etc... collectors can go to their local card stores or get online with their favorite auction house's and purchase their most desired cards. Sometimes, it may mean paying more than book value for that treasured card or set, but some gems are worth it. Anyone who has been building an indoor and arena football collection for any length of time will tell you that not all of these sets and singles are so easy to find.
Five years after the first arena team took the field; the first arena trading card set was produced. Since that first set back in 1992, there have been over 4,000 indoor and arena football trading cards produced. Oddly, only one card was ever produced of the "AFL's Greatest Player of All Time", Touchdown Eddie Brown. Eddie Brown spent 10 years in the AFL with the Firebirds, compiling over 15,000 yards and nearly 350 touchdowns, hence the name "Touchdown" Eddie Brown. To this day, Eddie still does not have one of his trading cards.
BM Publishing LLC is issuing a challenge to all Indoor and Arena Football trading card collectors.
