RGV FC look past their two game road trip which produced one out of six possible points for them in a tightly contested two-game series at New Mexico. Once again, a fruitful substitution allowed the Toros to steal a 1-1 draw after defender Jesus Vazquez headed a well-placed ball into goal after entering the match off the bench in the second half on July 9th.
Emphasis has continued to be placed on the final third and the need to be clinical in putting away chances as the season continues to age. Now as the playoff picture grows tighter, Rio Grande must strike offensively at home to secure a much-needed win over Las Vegas Lights who find themselves sitting two positions above RGV FC at number eight in the Western Conference standings.
