
Toros Defeat Roadrunners

St. George, UT - The Tucson Toros defeated the St. George Roadrunners, 11-8, on Saturday as the two teams hooked up in game-two of a three game series in St. George.
Matt McCune got the start for the Toros, where he went four innings deep, but didn't figure in the decision as Jordan Muir earned the win out of the bullpen. Muir pitched the game's final three innings where he gave up two runs, on one hit.
Jason Hanna and Brian Daly also made appearances out of the Toros' bullpen where they combined to pitch two solid innings, of one-run ball.
Skip Adams continues to be the Toros' offensive standout as he went 3-5 and increased his hitting streak to 15 games. Dustin Yount also had a good day at the plate as he went 3-6.
Three Toros went deep in the game as Lino Garcia, Andre Marshall and Jim Rushford all hit homeruns. Garcia and Rushford also put up good RBI numbers in the win as Rushford plated three runs for the Toros and Garcia four.
The two teams will take tomorrow off then play the final game of the series on Monday; then the Toros will hit the road for Chico as they will play a three game series against the Outlaws, starting Tuesday night.
