Toros Caravan To Roll Into Tucson On Tuesday

Tucson, AZ - The GBL Southern Division Champion Tucson Toros will once again reach out into the Tucson community with the team's annual Spring Caravan scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 20th throughout the Tucson area.
Returning Manager Tim Johnson will lead a crew of players and front office staff, including Tuffy The Toro, to schools, hospitals, military bases, and community centers during the all day event.
The Caravan will depart from Hi Corbett Field at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and will head to the Tucson Air National Guard where the Toros will thank members of the 162nd Fighter Wing and their families for their service to our country. The next stop will bring the Toros to a local area school (TBD) from 11:00-11:30 a.m. where they will emphasize the importance of education, exercise and saying no to drugs and alcohol. The tour will then take a quick break for lunch downtown at Steak In The Neighborhood from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
In the afternoon the Caravan will make visits to the Pediatric Care Units at both University Medical Center (1:30-2:30 p.m.) and Tucson Medical Center (3:00-4:00 p.m.) to help brighten the day for children and families battling illness. The tour will then meet with more kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
