Texas Tornado travel to Alaska for five-game roadtrip

The Texas Tornado traveled to Alaska on Wednesday to begin a 5-game, 11-day roadtrip that will see them play the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Alaska Avalanche. On Friday, December 1st and Saturday, December 2nd the Tornado will be in Fairbanks to face the Ice Dogs. Face-off time both nights is 7:30pm Alaska time (10:30pm central, 11:30pm eastern). Please note: The Tornado will not be broadcasting the games live on the Tornado Hockey Network, however and live feed can be heard from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs Broadcast. After the weekend games with Fairbanks, the Tornado will travel to Wasilla, Alaska to take on the Alaska Avalanche on Tuesday, December 5th, Wednesday, December 6th and Saturday, December 9th. The Alaska Avalanche will not have a broadcast of the games, however fans can keep track of the game using the Pointstreak Real-Time Scoring System during all the games. The Tornado will be without the services of #18 Brendan Brickley and #23 Stéphane Da Costa, who are still nursing lower body injuries and did not make the trip to Alaska. #16 Adam Flink and #24 Paul Yovanic did make the trip, however they will miss both Fairbanks games, and the first game against the Avalanche due to suspension by the NAHL.

The Texas Tornado Christmas tree will be arriving at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco on Tuesday, December 5th. The Tornado are asking all fans to donate an ornament for the tree this year. If you have an ornament and would like to donate it to appear on the Tornado Christmas tree, please bring your ornament by the Tornado office from now until Friday, December 8th. Thank you.

Friday, December 15 vs. Wichita Falls Wildcats, 7:30pm - It is another battle with the Wichita Falls Wildcats in a pre-Christmas showdown. It is the annual Skate with the Tornado and Santa following the game. All fans, young and old, are encouraged to bring their skates to the game and afterward, skate with all the Tornado players and Santa. If fans need to rent skates, skate rental is $3.00 at the front desk at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco.
