TORNADO FANS, TIME FOR A ROAD TRIP!

The South Division Semi-Final Series is moving to Wichita Falls this Friday, and that's where we need your help! The Tornado has set up a bus trip on Friday, April 8th to Wichita Falls for Game 3 of the Best of 5 Series. You will need to meet at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco at 3:30 PM. Come support the Tornado in their quest for Back-to-Back National Championships! There will be a designated section for all Tornado fans to sit together. The Road Trip package is $25.00 per person and includes: A ticket to the game, transportation to and from Wichita Falls, food, and a beverage. TORNADO PLAYOFF UPDATE...

The Texas Tornado hold a 2-0 advantage in their Best of 5 Southern Division Semi-Final Series against the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Game 1 this past Friday in Frisco was a wild game that featured a combined 14 goals and saw the Tornado break a 3rd period 5-5 tie with 4 unanswered goals to win, 9-5. The Tornado got two goals a piece from #7 Sean Walsh and #14 Ben Grotting. #28 Karl Sellan had four points, and #15 Nick Mazzolini had three. Saturday's game was just as wild, if that was possible. Again, a total of 14 goals were scored in the game. This time the Tornado, came back from a 6-5 3rd period deficit, scoring three goals in the final 8:44 to win 8-6. #5 Brett Blatchford and Sellan each had three points. #26 Derek Danowski scored the eventual game-winning goal on the power play with 2:29 left in the 3rd period. #8 Derek Punches scored the game-tying goal earlier in the 3rd period.

...AND IF THEY ADVANCE

The Texas Tornado need only one more win in the next three games to secure a spot in the Southern Division Finals. In the other Southern Division Semi-Final series, Texarkana and Santa Fe are tied 1-1. If the Tornado advance to the Southern Division Finals, Games 1 and 2 will be Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th respectively at 8:00pm at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco. Please note, the above schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Southern Division Finals will be a Best of 7 Series, with the winner moving onto the USA Hockey Junior A National Championships hosted by the Bismarck Bobcats in Bismarck, North Dakota, April 26-30.
