
Tornado Exhibition Game Against Corpus Christi Scheduled for September 9

FRISCO, TEXAS - (8/25/11) - The Texas Tornado have announced that they will play an exhibition game against the Corpus Christi IceRays on September 9th at 7:35 at Dr Pepper StarCenter in McKinney. Adult tickets will be $5, while all children age 18 and under will be admitted free of charge. Each paid ticket will receive a 2-for-1 voucher for Opening Night on September 30th against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, the defending Robertson Cup champions.
The announcement comes just one day after the team scheduled its first exhibition game of the season, an away contest with the Wichita Falls Wildcats on September 8th.
The Tornado and Ice Rays will meet 12 times during the 2011-2012 regular season. The two teams also met a dozen times last season with the Tornado dominating the season series, posting an 11-1-0 record. The season begins on September 14th in Blaine, Minn., where the Tornado will play four regular-season games at the Combat Hockey/NAHL Showcase Tournament.
