The Johnstown Tomahawks evened up the weekend series at one game apiece with a 4-2 on Friday night in Lewiston.
Kellen Murphy broke the ice for Maine at the 12:59 mark of the first period, which gave the Nordiques a 1-0 lead going into the second intermission.
Anthony Galante tied the game at 1 for the Tomahawks 4:28 into the second period with his 21st goal of the season, followed by a goal from Drake Albers 1:48 later to give the Tomahawks a 2-1 lead. Evan Orloff responded for the Maine Nordiques midway through the period, tying the game back up at 2. Nick Ahern lead the way for the remainder of the second period, scoring to goals to give the Tomahawks a 4-2 lead to begin the third period. Johnstown's two goal lead was the largest of the weekend thus far, following Maine's 7-6 overtime win on Thursday night.
After a scoreless third period, the game ended with a 4-2 win for Johnstown, setting the stage for an exciting finale tomorrow night in Lewiston at 7 PM. Catch the game live on HockeyTV.
