
Tomahawks Fall to Rebels, Force Game Five

The Jamestown Rebels defeated the Johnstown Tomahawks Saturday night on their home ice in New York by a final score of 4-1, forcing a game five on Sunday.
John Lundy opened the scoring early as he put Jamestown on the board 3:47 into the game Saturday night. Frank Jenkins tied the game for Johnstown on the power play with his first of the playoffs. Johnstown's lead was not long-lived though as Jak Vaarwerk scored for the Rebels to put them back on top 2-1 to end the 1st period.
The Rebels extended their lead early in the 2nd period with a goal from Noah Szretter, giving his team a 3-1 lead. Szretter's goal was the only of the period for either squad.
Vaarwerk's second of the game gave Jamestown a 4-1 lead with 11:57 to go in regulation. Despite their 3rd period efforts, Johnstown was not able to claw their way back into the game and Jamestown finished the game with a 4-1 win, forcing a decisive game five back in Johnstown.
The do-or-die game five will be held tomorrow Sunday, May 1 at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA with puck drop scheduled for 6 PM. The Tomahawks office will open tomorrow morning at 10 AM for ticket sales.
