
Tomahawks Close out Road Trip with 6-4 Victory over Titans

Middletown, NJ - The Johnstown Tomahawks closed out their weekend road trip with a 6-4 victory over the New Jersey Titans Saturday night at Middletown Ice World. The win moves the Tomahawks within one point of second place Aston and two points behind the division-leading Titans.
Tiernan Seningen opened the scoring for the Tomahawks with a shot from the right side at 15:07 of the first period. Alex Alger and Logan Hudson each added assists on the first goal of the season for Seningen.
Less than a minute later, Bruno Birzitis tied the game for New Jersey (21-12-2) with his sixth goal of the season. Andrew Durham added the assist on the goal.
Niko Coffman regained the lead for Johnstown (19-16-4) at 16:30 of the first period. Luke Lynch and Casey Linkenheld each added assists on the goal.
Adam Hascic tied the game at two, scoring 8:45 into the second period.
Later in the second period, Linkenheld tied the game with his 13th goal of the season at 16:30. Lynch and Andrew Romano picked up the assists on the power-play goal.
Anthony Parrucci extended the lead, scoring with 10 seconds remaining in the second period. Ryan Burr and Brendan Jaquay each added assists on the goal.
Zak Galambos made it a 5-2 game, connecting on a power-play goal at 14:49 of the third period. Kelly O'Brien added the assist on the second power-play goal of the night.
Raymond Brice pulled the Titans back within two, scoring a six-on-three goal with 4:04 remaining in regulation. He made it a one-goal game with just over a minute to go.
Andrew Lindgren earned the win, stopping 22 of 26 shots. Spencer Wright suffered the loss, allowing four goals on 23 shots. He was replaced by Harrison Feeney, who stopped 4 of 5 shots.
The Tomahawks welcome Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Jan. 22 and 23. The Jan. 22 game features Kids Night and appearance by the ZOOperstars, while Saturday's game is the fourth annual Guns N' Hoses Night.
