Title Hunt Begins Tuesday for Atlantic Division Champion Mill Rats

(Saint John, NB): The hunt for an NBL Canada Championship trophy begins on Tuesday March 4th at 7:00 PM at Harbour Station for the Atlantic Division Champion Saint John Mill Rats. The #1 seeded Mill Rats will face the #4 Halifax Rainmen in a best-of-five series.
Saint John held an 8-2 win/loss record this season over the Rainmen including 5-0 at Harbour Station. But they are taking nothing for granted.
"We aren't talking anyone lightly. We have three former Rainmen players (Levett, Wright, & Crookshank) plus I coached there, so there will be no letups of intensity in this series," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "Everyone in this league is dangerous and its a battle every single night."
The Mill Rats sealed the division title and #1 seed with a timely 3-game winning streak combined with a 4-game road losing streak by the Island Storm. Wednesday 112-104 win over the Moncton Miracles, combined with Storm's 108-96 loss to the Halifax Rainmen, clinched it. Saint John was able to rest key players in the regular season finale loss to Moncton at the Moncton Coliseum.
