After winning 10 games in a row during the months of February and March the Titans have hit a three-game skid after dropping two home games this weekend.

Friday night saw the Dayton Demolition come in who are battling to secure the final playoff spot in the FHL. They certainly continued where they had left off last Sunday when they defeated the Titans in Dayton 7-4.

Danbury would get on the board first as Aaron Atwell, playing his first game in almost a month, squeaked a wrist shot through the goaltender. From there, Dayton would score four unanswered goals going into the third period. Danbury would attempt a comeback as Mike Henderson and Tyler Gjurich both scored. However, time would run out on Danbury as they could not find another goal to tie it up before the final buzzer.

The play in the third period could be seen as a positive going into Saturday. Danbury played host to a hungry Brewster Bulldogs team that was fighting for its playoff lives. After a scoreless first period, Brewster would break things open as they scored three goals in the second frame to take a commanding lead. Despite a goal from Phil Bronner in the third from Danbury, Brewster would lock down the ice and add an empty netter to win 4-1.

The Titans remain in first place in the FHL despite their two losses and head into the final weekend with a chance to lock up the top seed in the playoffs. They will host the Berlin River Drivers on Friday night at 7:35 PM in the last regular season home game. After that Danbury will head up to Berlin Saturday and Sunday to face the RiverDrivers to finish out the regular season.
