Johnstown takes 1-0 series lead
JOHNSTOWN, PA (April 10, 2006) - Adam Henrich's goal at 4:46 of the overtime sent the Trenton Titans away from Cambria County War Memorial with a 2-1 loss and gave the Johnstown Chiefs a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three North Division Quarterfinal.
The Titans would break the scoreless tie in the second period on their third power play of the contest. Assigned from the Philadelphia Phantoms today, Stephen Wood took a pass from Luke Stauffacher into the high slot and ripped a wrist shot that got past Morgan Cey at 15:42.
Jean Desrochers would quickly tie it up at the 1:26 of the third period taking a Joe Tallari feed from behind the net and beating Rejean Beauchemin to the far post. Neither team would score again and the game went into overtime
In the extra session Zbynek Hrdel sent a pass across the Titans' crease that deflected off of Adam Henrich's leg and into the net for game-winner.
Cey helped deny the Titans throughout the contest making 38-of-39 saves. Beauchemin was also strong in stopping 31 of 33.
Trenton went 1-for-5 on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.
