Danbury Titans News Release

The Federal Hockey League had its trade deadline this week and the Titans were active on the phone. By the time the deadline passed the Titans had acquired forward Ian DeLong from the Brewster Bulldogs in exchange for defenseman Kory Helowka and the rights to goaltender Breton Lindoff.

DeLong has played 12 games this year for the Brewster Bulldogs tallying seven goals and five assists. Last season DeLong played for the now defunct Danbury Whalers where he had 29 goals and 27 assists for 56 points in 46 games.

"Ian adds another goal scoring dimension to our offense and has knowledge of the systems we run. He also brings another veteran presence to our locker room as we get ready for our run late in the season and into the playoffs", commented Head Coach Phil Esposito.

Helowka has 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points in 27 games while Breton Lindoff recently completed his season over in Europe.

The Titans have three games this weekend beginning Thursday at home against the Berlin RiverDrivers at 7:35 PM. Saturday night the Titans will host the Dayton Demolition for a 7:35 PM start while Sunday will feature a matinee against the Berlin RiverDrivers at 5:05 PM.
