It has been quite a ride for the Danbury Titans in the last month or so. Coming into the weekend, Danbury had not lost a game since a shootout loss to Dayton on February 20 and had not lost in regulation since a 9-6 road loss to Berlin back on February 5.

Friday saw the Berlin RiverDrivers return to Danbury and it was no contest right from the beginning as the Titans won by a final score of 11-1. The game was highlighted by the return of Bryan Dallaire who had spent some time with the Mississippi RiverKings of the SPHL. His impact was felt as he scored a hat trick and was a +7 which is a game high in the FHL this year. John Scorcia continued his hot season as he had four points including a hat trick of his own. Ian DeLong, Phil Bronner, Dean Yakura, Mike Henderson, and Ryan Patsch rounded out the goal scoring for the Titans.

Saturday featured a showdown with the Port Huron Prowlers. The Prowlers would try to turn the tables on the Titans as they grabbed a 2-0 lead. However that was all they would get as the Titans stormed back led by Patsch who was playing in his first weekend in Danbury since returning from a stint in the ECHL with the Manchester Monarchs. Patsch would score a hat trick including a shorthanded goal which proved to be the game winning goal. Bronner would add a hat trick with Yakura, Scorcia, and Mike Driscoll rounding out the scoring for the Titans.

Unfortunately the good vibes would end on Sunday afternoon in Dayton. A sluggish start by Danbury doomed them as they were down 4-1 by the end of the first frame. Heading into the third it was 6-1 in favor of Dayton. While a valiant comeback effort was mounted it would not be enough as Danbury fell by a final of 7-4.
