
Tim Metcher Achieves 50 MLR Caps

On Saturday, February 26th Tim Metcher became the second player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches. Metcher has played all five seasons with the Seattle Seawolves where he has helped lead the team to back-to-back MLR Championship titles.
The 30-year-old tighthead prop has been a proven leader for the Seawolves since 2018. Following his first season with the team, and earning the Championship shield, Metcher was named to the All-MLR First Team.
At the conclusion of the 2021 season, Metcher announced his retirement due to the decision to move back to Australia with his family. Loyal Seattle fans were ecstatic when Metcher and his family ultimately decided to stay in Seattle for a fifth season.

So far in the 2022 season Metcher has started every match and played nearly 320 minutes for the Seawolves. He has continued to be a leader for the team on and off the pitch, and the Seattle fans have been thrilled to see the team start the season with a strong 3-1 record.

Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps, and their role in building the legacy of MLR. Tim Metcher will be honored with a special presentation at the Seawolves next match - Friday, March 4th.
