Toronto Lynx News Release

(Toronto, CANADA) The Toronto Lynx/Lady Lynx players and coaching staff in partnership with Tim Hortons are putting the final touches on the annual soccer coaches clinic which has become very popular among club and school soccer coaches. The complimentary clinic has become an important tool for the professional growth of coaches since 2004. Following the initial success of 2004, the clinic is now being delivered twice annually, one which takes place in the spring and a second in the fall.

The dynamic and informative clinics are a unique opportunity for coaches to enhance their skills and are delivered by the Toronto Lynx head coach, Duncan Wilde. His leadership will be bolstered with tactical sessions by veteran Lynx players, while Dr. Robert Gringmuth's medical team will offer insightful and helpful sessions on nutrition and fitness.

Coaches who are eager to improve the performance of their teams and inspire their youth to greater heights are flocking to this special offer. Close to 300 coaches have already registered for the sessions which include: witnessing a training session and preps for a match; holding a practice session ( warm-ups, drills, tractical strategies and set plays) and tips on sports nutrition and fitness. Coaches will also receive gift packages from various Lynx sponsors in addition to a free coaching manual courtesy of Tim Hortons.

The 2006 spring session is taking place on Saturday, March 18th at Soccerworld @ The Docks from 9:00-12:00. The registration deadline is Friday March 10th. For more information coaches are directed to call the Community Affairs Department 416-251-4625 ext. 26 or e-mail requests to lynx@lynxsoccer.com.

The Tim Hortons Soccer Coaches clinics are a part of a larger partnership between Tim Hortons and The Toronto Lynx Soccer Club that has steadily grown since 1999 making Tim Hortons the leading sponsor of the highest level of soccer in Toronto.
