January 16, 2009 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF)
Rockford Thunder News Release
Happy New Year Thunder fans!! Hopefully all of you are able to stay warm during this cold month of January. Just think that in five months the players will be reporting to training camp for the 2009 season. Let's hope that thought helps keep everyone warm.
Season Ticket Update
Season ticket sales are going very well for the 2009 season. We have several people renewing and quite a few new additions to the Thunder fan base. The move to Roscoe should definitely help provide an exciting time and atmosphere for all. We are really looking forward to playing in front of such a dedicated fan base this season.
Because we are now in January, season ticket prices have gone to the regular price of $170 ($6.80/game) for bleachers and $100 ($4/game) for general admission tickets. All season ticket holders in 2009 will receive free parking, a 10% merchandise discount, a meet-the-team party and a season ticket holder t-shirt.

Stay tuned to the Thunder website for a season ticket offer to ALL youth fastpitch players. For the month of February, we will offer a bleacher season ticket to all fastpitch players on a team for just $50 ($2/game). All players will need to do is provide their team name and coach when they buy a ticket.
Clinics
The Thunder is holding its first-ever Overnight Clinic on Saturday, January 17 to Sunday, January 18 at the All-Starz Sports Complex in Loves Park. Spaces are still available for the clinic, but you must register by the close of business today. So far 60 girls from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin have signed up to take part in the clinic.
The next clinic the Thunder will hold be the Coaching and Youth Skills Clinic on Sunday, February 15, 2009. The beginning of the clinic will allow coaches and parents to learn valuable skills that they can then relay on to their teams and daughters. Coaches will be provided with a coach's packet and drills on several different mechanics of the game.
