Wednesday, March 21, 2007
6 p.m. - Promotional Night at Rock Valley College. Kristen Zaleski and De De Justice will join members of the Rock Valley College athletics department for the showing of "A League of Their Own".
Thursday, March 22, 2007 3 p.m. - Kristen Zaleski will throw out the first for the home opener with Rock Valley College.
4:30 p.m. - Press conference at Harlem High School for weekend Fun Fair Event.
Friday, March 23, 2007 5 p.m. - Kristen Zaleski and Aaron M. Moore will be on the Dean Ervin Radio Show promoting the season. Tune into WNTA 1330 for the show.

Draft Picks
Abbie Sims - All three Thunder draft picks are off to great starts in their respective college seasons. Top pick Abbie Sims is off to a 12-3 start in the circle with a 1.90 ERA. She is also hitting a very respective .318 at the plate with five home runs and 18 RBIs. She was recently named the ACC Softball Player of the Week and the USA Softball Player of the Week. Audrey Rendon - Rendon started off a little slow at the slow, but looks to have since found her stroke. She is leading the Louisville Cardinals with a .330 batting average and has been successful on 6-of-7 stolen base opportunities. The Pueblo, Colo. native has recorded seven extra base hits this season, three of which have been triples. Follow Audrey at www.uoflsports.cstv.com.
Cassidy Scoggins - Scoggins, like Sims, is off to a fantastic start in the circle for the Southern Illinois Salukis. Cassidy is 10-3 early in the season, with her most recent victory coming against Evansville University on Tuesday, March 20. She also threw a no-hitter this past weekend against Bradley University. NOTE - These players have only been drafted by the Thunder, but have made no commitment to the team. All college players must complete their eligibility before signing any sort of professional sports contract.
Things in the Works
Spring Clinic - The Thunder's next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Sportscore One in Rockford. The cost of the clinic is $45 per participant and each person will receive a ticket to the Raptors game on April 14, a ticket to the Thunder DH on June 12 and a clinic t-shirt. Players scheduled to appear for the Thunder are Kristen Zaleski, Mackenzie Vandergeest and Erin Evans.
Rockford Thunder Inaugural Tournament - The Thunder will host its first-ever tournament July 13-15 in Rockford. The tournament is open to all 12, 14 and 16-under teams and is $350 per team. Each team will receive four games and 15 tickets to the Thunder game on July 14.
Open Tryouts - 2007 Open Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, May 5 at Sportscore One. The tryouts are open to any female 21 and under. The person's college eligibility must also be exhausted in order to tryout for the professional league. The cost of the tryout will be $50 per person and those trying out will receive a t-shirt and ticket to the Rock River Raptors game that night. Those trying out will work out in front of Thunder coaches, front office staff and players.
