Thunder Unveil Kid's Club and Enrollment Party

BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Thunder announced today plans for their Kid's Club, which is sponsored by Sky Bank, and an enrollment party is set for Saturday, January 27th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Camelot Lanes in Boardman.

The Thunder Kid's Club, sponsored by Sky Bank, is set to begin enrolling its charter members in preparation for the Thunder's inaugural 2007 season. The Kid's Club is open to children ages 6-12; it's only $15.00 to join and members will receive an official member T-shirt, a Thunder lanyard with member credential, invitations to special events, an e-newsletter and inclusion at activities at Thunder home games. Proceeds from the enrollment fees will benefit the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley United Way (www.ymvunitedway.org), which creates opportunities for citizens of the Mahoning Valley to achieve their goals, dreams and potential.

The enrollment party will be held at Camelot Lanes on HWY 224 in Boardman on Saturday, January 27th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event is being co-sponsored by Comcast Cable, who will have The Cable Guys on hand to meet fans and congratulate those who join the Thunder Kid's Club. Camelot Lanes is offering one free game of bowling during the event to kids who enroll and Boomer the Thunder's mascot along with Thunder players will be in attendance to officially welcome children into the club.

"The Thunder Organization is proud to partner with Sky Bank to get the Kid's Club off to a great start," said General Manager Adam Tokash. "We further appreciate our partners at Comcast for helping promote the event as well as Camelot Lanes for playing host to this kickoff celebration."

The Mahoning Valley Thunder Arena Football Team's Inaugural Season kicks off Saturday, March 31, 2007 against the Fever from Tri-Cities, Washington on Cortland Banks Field at the Chevrolet Centre. Don't miss the eight, action-packed home games as the Thunder enter the arenafootball2 League and clash with tough opponents to bring the ArenaCup Championship to the Valley.
