Rockford Thunder News Release

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Thunder of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) and General Manager Aaron M. Moore announced today that they have moved the tryout location for this weekend's tryouts due to flooded conditions at Sportscore One.

Saturday's session is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Oregon High School Athletic Complex (210 S 10th St.) in Oregon. The session will run until 4 p.m.

On Sunday, the tryouts will shift over to Player's Park (IL 251 and Swanson Road) in Roscoe. Sunday's session will begin at 11 a.m. with a batting practice session and will be immediately followed by a 7-8 inning live game.

If the tryouts are forced indoors on Saturday, they will be held at the new All Starz Sports Complex in Loves Park (7135 Clinton Road).

Both sessions are free and open to the public to attend.

The Thunder will look to fill one or two roster spots out of players attending the tryout. The tryouts are open to all women who are at least 21 years old and have completed their college eligibility. Those athletes still in college and competing are not allowed to tryout due to NCAA regulations.

Participants can still register onsite at the tryout on either Saturday or Sunday.
