This historic game will take place on the Thunder's home field, James Griffin Stadium located at I-94 & Lexington Parkway. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.

A VIP (Reserved seating) ticket is $20, adult general admission is $15 and youth general admission (18 and under) is $10. James Griffin Stadium holds only 6,000 fans, so fans need to order tickets in advance!

The Thunder advanced to the quarterfinal round of play after defeating the heavily favored Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday (July 20) 1-0 in the H.H.H. Metrodome in Minneapolis in front of 5,505 fans. Chris Brunt scored the lone goal for the Thunder in the 21 minute of play and Joe Warren made several point blank saves in the second half to secure the shutout. The Thunder controlled the majority of the game and out-shot the Galaxy 13 to seven.

The Earthquakes advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating the Portland Timbers 3-0 on goals by Ronnie Ekelund, Ramiro Corrales and Dwayne DeRosario on Wednesday, July 15. The San Jose Earthquakes are one of only two teams to repeat as MLS Cup Champions, winning the title in 2001 and 2003. Their forward tandem of Landon Donovan (3 goals, 7 assists) and Brian Ching (9,2) will prove to be a difficult task for the stingy Thunder defense.
