Thunder to Host Draft Party to Announce Picks

ROCKFORD - The Thunder announced today that they would host a press conference and draft party on Monday, February 18 at the new Firefly Restaurant (5040 N. 2nd St) in Loves Park to announce its draft selections for the 2008 season.
The draft party will begin at 6 p.m. with a draft video highlighting all 24 selections made in the draft. Currently, the Thunder holds the No. 5 overall draft selection in Monday's draft. The team also has the rights to the No. 12, 13, 19 and 20 picks in the draft.
Immediately following the video, the Thunder will hold a press conference allowing fans and media alike the opportunity to ask questions on the players drafted. Assistant Coach Jim Sherwood, General Manager Aaron M. Moore and players Kristen Zaleski, Jamie Davison and Cassidy Scoggins are scheduled to be in attendance to field questions.
The Firefly Restaurant will have food and drink specials during the event, including $2 drafts, $5 cheeseburger and fries and kids 12 and under eat for just $1.
In addition to the food specials being offered the Thunder will have the following merchandise specials available: short-sleeved t-shirts for $5, long-sleeve t-shirts for $10, crewneck sweatshirts for $15, hooded sweatshirts for $20 and all remaining jerseys will be just $50.
