Minnesota Thunder News Release

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Friday, September 30, 2005) - Season tickets for the Minnesota Thunder's 2006 USL First Division season will go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. Any fan that purchases a season ticket package before Dec. 31 will receive the 2005 prices, as some ticket packages are expected to raise in price on January 1, 2006. In addition, 2005 season ticket holders will save an additional 10% off their ticket package if they order by the end of the year.

Season tickets can be purchased by visiting www.mnthunder.com or by calling Mark Lieblein at 651-917-0049.

At James Griffin Stadium in St. Paul, many of the new amenities that were added in 2005 turned out to be fan favorites including the new field-level seats, seat backs, VIP discount cards and the special supporters section that grew throughout the season.

Season ticket packages start as low as only $49 and over 1,000 people last season took advantage of the opportunity to see one of the countries best soccer teams play all season long.

"The Thunder hit the largest season ticket holder mark in its history last season, largely due to the new supporters section and the Field-Reserved seating," said Djorn Buchholz, Thunder general manager. "We want to give our most loyal fans an opportunity to get that same seat at the same price as they did this past season."

The Thunder's Field-Level seating includes 80 soft-seat chairs that are placed behind the sponsor field boards on the south side of the field, approximately 10 feet from the touchline.

The Supporter ticket package, for the most passionate of fans, includes a commemorative Thunder scarf that is actually designed by the fans themselves.

"The Supporter's section has grown immensely since our first year in St. Paul," Buchholz said. "This festive section has brought a real European feel to Griffin Stadium and we anticipate this group to keep growing year after year."

The Thunder will continue to have a limited number of cushioned seat backs inside its VIP section. These seats will be included in all Platinum packages and will be available to those with VIP Reserved tickets for an additional fee.

Also available will be flexible ticket packages in bundles of 14 and seven tickets. These tickets are good for any regular season home match and can be used in any combination.

All full season ticket packages include an additional ticket to the Thunder's first US Open Cup match, a 2006 yearbook, an invite to the pre-season team reception, a VIP discount card, and a 20 percent off coupon for Thunder merchandise at Soccer USA stores.
