
Thunder Roster Continues to Grow

BOARDMAN, Ohio- The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce the arenafootball2 League Office has assigned Travis Brown to the 2008 Thunder roster. WR/DB Brown (5'10, 185) enters his first year in the af2.
A Phoenix, AZ native, Brown signed with Oregon State University after being named a Prep-Star Magazine All-American as a high school senior. Prior to the 2004 season Brown transferred to Dixie State College (St.George, UT). In his first season with the Rebels Brown hauled in 51 receptions for 849 yards and 11 touchdowns on his way to being named First Team WSFL (Western States Football League). Troy played the 2005 season for Missouri Southern State University where he recorded 18 receptions for 236 yards and one score. Following the '05 season, Brown transferred back to Dixie State for the 2006 campaign leading the Rebels with 25 receptions for 611 yards, 4 scores and an eye-opening 24.4 yards per reception average.
"Travis has excellent hands, he's a terrific route runner and has a knack for finding the end zone" Thunder Head Coach Mike Hold said. "He's been a productive player at every level and we're hopeful that continues with the Thunder."
The Mahoning Valley Thunder opens the season at home Saturday March 29th on Cortland Banks Field inside the Chevrolet Centre.
