Mahoning Valley Thunder News Release
BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce that WR/DB Brian Majors has re-signed with the team, the arenafootball2 League Office announced today.
With af2 player contracts being one-year deals, Majors becomes the first player to be added to the Thunder roster for 2008.
Majors (6'1, 180, Southern Utah) appeared in nine games (eight starts) in 2007, seeing time at defensive back and wide receiver. Defensively, Majors recorded 15.0 tackles (14 solo and two assists) and notched the first interception in Thunder history on March 31, 2007. He started four games at wide receiver and recorded his first career touchdown on July 2 at Cincinnati. Majors finished the year with 318 yards receiving on 24 catches and tallied five touchdowns.
"It is a huge bonus to be able to bring back Brian for 2008," Hold said. "We had a need with injuries late in the year and asked Brian to make a switch from defense to offense. He was very productive for us and will be valuable to our success next season."
