
Thunder, Raptors Host Holiday Party

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Thunder and the Rock River Raptors announced today that they will co-host a holiday party on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 4 -7 p.m. at the it's indoor training facility (209 N. 3rd St., Rockford, 61107).
The evening is designed as a fun evening for all ages. There will be a quarterback challenge, speed pitch challenge, beanbags, sumo suits, inflatables and more. Santa Claus will also be on hand all evening for both kids and adults alike.
In addition to the fun, coaches, players and staff will also be on hand for the festivities to sign autographs and answer any questions that people may have.
Two lucky fans will also receive two season tickets to either the Raptors or Thunder. The winner of the tickets must come in as the most colorful fan for either team.
All team merchandise will be available for retail at 10% off. And both teams plan on selling new merchandise for the party, including eight new t-shirt designs for the Raptors. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase their season tickets for the upcoming 2009 year.
There is no cost to attend the holiday party, but fans are asked to bring one non-perishable food item for each person attending. The food will then be donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
The teams will provide some food and drink for fans.
