Thunder Rained Out on Friday

June 19, 2009 - ROSCOE, Ill. - Game three of the series with the USSSA Pride has been postponed to due to rain and will be made up as a Saturday doubleheader.

Game one of the doubleheader will begin at 3:05 p.m. and game two will follow at the originally scheduled time of 6:05 p.m. Cassidy Scoggins is scheduled to start game one in the circle and Cat Osterman will make her final home start of the 2009 season in the nightcap.

Tickets for tomorrow's games can be purchased directly at the box office prior to the games. Fans can buy bleacher tickets for one game for $10 or tickets for both games for $15. Additionally, any fan that bring this release into the box office can receive a buy one, get one free ticket for either game.

The Thunder will also offer ½ priced draft beer for both games of the doubleheader and all bottled beer will be available for $3/each.

Before the games begin, kids are invited to Thunder Park to participate in the Summer Clinic Series hosted by the Thunder. The clinic is just $20/person and includes a ticket to either game of the doubleheader.

GAME NOTES - This was the Thunder's first official rainout in three seasons in Rockford...Saturday night will be the final start in Rockford during the 2009 season for Olympic superstar Cat Osterman...Jenae Leles and Ashley Holcombe will also be making their final appearances in Rockford over the weekend...All three players will be heading to Chula Vista, Calif. to begin competing with the U.S. National Team.
