FRISCO, Tex. - As training camp approaches for the Frisco Thunder's 2008 season, players and dancers will be as busy away from the practice field as they prepare for their March 1 kickoff.
A hectic season of promotional appearances for the Intense Football League team begins Saturday, February 9 with players and dancers greeting fans at the McDonalds location at 4360 Legacy Drive (corner of Legacy and Lebanon) in Frisco from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
McDonalds has teamed up with the Thunder as an official restaurant, offering families the opportunity to purchase four tickets along with four value or happy meals for $40.
On the following Saturday, the fun shifts to the McDonalds at 8970 Preston (corner of Preston and Main) for an 11 a.m appearance just before the start of training camp that afternoon.
A playoff team its expansion season, the Thunder hosts the opening game of the 2008 Intense Football League season on Saturday, March 1st at 6 p.m. against the San Angelo Stampede Express. All home games will be played in the Deja Blue Arena, located in the Frisco Dr Pepper StarCenter. Season and individual tickets are available now at 972-731-6968.
