
Thunder Player Matt Summers Player of the Month

Wichita, KS - The Central Hockey League today named Thunder forward Matt Summers the Sher-Wood CHL Player of the Month for October.
A sixth-year pro out of Savage, Minnesota, Summers leads the Thunder and ranks third in the CHL with seven points. Summers has scored in all four Thunder games this season, including two multi-point contests.
Summers notched an assist on opening night, then kick-started Wichita's rally from a 3-0 deficit on October 22 versus the Allen Americans with a third period goal. Summers poured it on this past weekend, scoring two third period goals and adding an assist in another Thunder comeback win. The following night he chipped in a pair of assists to help Wichita to their perfect 4 - 0 - 0 record.
The undefeated Thunder will battle the unbeaten Missouri Mavericks on Friday at 7:05 p.m. at INTRUST Bank Arena.
