Rockford Thunder News Release

January 15, 2009 - ROCKFORD - The Thunder announced today that its first-ever overnight clinic for this Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18 has changed locations to accommodate all interested campers. The clinic will now be held at All Starz Sports Complex (7135 Clinton Road) in Loves Park.

"We felt moving the clinic to All Starz was the best thing to do for the campers," said Thunder GM Aaron M. Moore. "We received more registrations than expected and this is a facility where we can accommodate a larger group."

The Thunder has also added three people to the clinic instructor list. Shanna Diller, an infielder from the University of Illinois; Megan Brown, a pitcher from Florida Southern College; and Jim Sherwood, the team's new manager, will all be on hand to assist with instruction.

The clinic will feature 4-5 hours of clinic instruction, dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, movies and other games. The cost of the clinic is $50 and registrations will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16th.
