Thunder Announce 2008 Youth Tournaments

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Thunder will host two youth fastpitch tournaments this spring according to team general manager Aaron M. Moore.
The first tournament, named the "Opening Day Tournament" as it coincides with the team's Thunder's Opening Day against the Chicago Bandits, will be played on May 30-June 1, 2008 at Sportscore One.
The tournament is open to the first eight teams to register in the 10u, 12u and 14u age divisions. The cost per team is $350 and the fee includes a guaranteed three games, umpires, awards for the first place team and 15 tickets to the May 31st Thunder game.
The second tournament, open to 16 & under and 18 & under teams, will be held the following weekend on Sunday, June 8 at Sportscore One. The One-Day Kickoff Tournament is $275 per team and is also a three-game guaranteed tournament. Each registered team will also receive 15 tickets to the June 7 Thunder game when they host the Washington Glory.
