GLENS FALLS - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has acquired forward Cole Tymkin from the Rapid City Rush in exchange for Future Considerations.
Tymkin, 27, joins the Thunder after splitting last season with Rapid City and Wheeling. In 49 total games between the Rush and Nailers, the 6-foot-1, 201-pound forward recorded ten points (5g, 5a). The Rainy River, Ontario native has 18 points (10g, 8a) and 163 penalty minutes in 73 total ECHL games.
"We are thrilled to bring Cole into the mix here in Adirondack," said Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier. "He's a high-character player who plays the game the right way - hard, disciplined, and relentless. His work ethic fits perfectly with our team culture, and we expect him to make an immediate impact on our lineup."
Prior to his professional career, Tymkin played four years at Brock University (USports) and totaled 50 points (17g, 33a) in 85 games. The right-shooting forward played four years for the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights and served as the team's assistant captain in the 2018-19 season.
