Thrilling Match Ends Lights' Streak Against Phoenix

Lights FC hosted Phoenix Rising FC, against whom Las Vegas had a four match undefeated streak.
Andre Zuluaga got his second consecutive start in goal and he stopped a penalty kick from Phoenix in the 31st minute of play, with the Lights' taking advantage towards the end of the first half with an added time goal from Danny Rios to go into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead.
Rising FC leveled the score courtesy of Manuel Arteaga in the 8th minute of the second half which will be an instant goal of the year candidate via bicycle kick at the edge of the box, only for Vegas to retake the lead in 61st minute with a shot from outside the box from Danny Rios.
Unfortunately for Lights FC, Phoenix found the back of the net in back to back minutes. First with Danny Trejo in the 81st minute, followed up by Panos Armenakas in the 82nd to win the game 3-2.
NEXT HOME GAME:
Lights FC returns to Cashman Field next Saturday to face Orange County SC at at 7:30 p.m.
