Three way tie for the sixth and final UIF playoff spot

Omaha, NE: United Indoor Football (UIF) will feature six of the ten UIF teams in the post-season. Seeds one and two will receive first round byes and would have seeds 3 versus 6 and 4 versus 5 in the first round. Home field will be awarded to the team with the highest seed in the playoffs. First round action will take place on the weekend of July 14-16. The semi-final round action will feature seed one playing against the lowest remaining seed and seed two taking on the last remaining team. Seeds one and two will both have home field in the second round. This round of games will be played on the weekend of July 21-23. United Bowl II will take place on July 29 at the home of the highest seed remaining of the two final teams.

The Division winners will be awarded seeds one, two and three and will be placed in the correct order according to winning percentage and if needed, tie breakers. Currently through the first 13 weeks of the season, the Sioux Falls Storm (12-0) of the West Division would take the first seed, the Lexington Horsemen (10-2) from the East Division would be the second seed and the third seed would go to the Rock River Raptors (8-4) of the Central Division.

Seeds four, five and six will be given to the final three teams with the highest winning percentage across the board. Teams will be placed in order of record or the use of tie breakers may come into play. Currently, the Ohio Valley Greyhounds would take the fourth seed with their 6-6 record and the Omaha Beef (6-6) find the fifth seed. With use of the tie breaker system, seed six would be awarded to the Sioux City Bandits, and the Bloomington Extreme and Evansville BlueCats would end up being nudged out of the playoff picture.
