Three Teams Start Battle for GWL Title on Sunday

Portland, Oregon - The Great West League post-season starts this Sunday, with three teams in the hunt for the 2018 GWL Championship.
"Due to extraordinary conditions created by wild fires and poor air quality, we've been forced to adjust the final games of our regular season and the post-season," said GWL commissioner Ken Wilson. "The safety of our players and fans has been our main concern throughout this trying time."
The opening round will pit the Lincoln Potters against the defending champion Medford Rogues, while the Chico Heat receive a bye. Game #1 will be at Medford on Sunday, August 5 (6:35 pm). The best-of-three series moves to Lincoln for Game #2 on Monday, August 6 (6:35 pm). If a Game #3 is needed, it will be played at Lincoln on Tuesday, August 7 (6:35 pm).
The GWL Championship Series will start on Wednesday, August 8 at the home of the winner of the Lincoln-Medford series, with the game starting at 6:35 pm. Game #2 will be at Chico on Thursday, August 9 (7:05 pm), while the deciding Game #3, if needed, will be at Chico on Friday, August 10 (7:05 pm).
"We have three terrific teams moving into the post-season," added Wilson. "This will be a great show for our fans."
