
Three Mariners Named To All-Star Team

PULASKI _ The Appalachian League has announced its 2009 all-star team, and three Pulaski Mariners have been named to the group. Thirdbaseman Vinnie Catricala, Infielder Gabriel Noriega, and Outfielder Brandon Haveman were announced Tuesday evening.
The league's player of the year was Riann Spanjer-Furstenburg of the Danville Braves. The pitcher of the year was Matt Crim of Danville.

Catcher Robert Stock of Johnson City
Secondbaseman Jose Altuve of Greenville
Thirdbaseman Rich Racobaldo of Johnson City
Shortstop Brian Dozier of Elizabethton
Outfielder Brady Shoemaker of Bristol
Outfielder Cory Rogers of Princeton
DH Josmir Pinto of Elizabethton
RHP Vito Frabizio of Bluefield
LHP Matt Crim of Danville
Relief Pitcher David Kington of Johnson City
The group was voted upon by media, management, and coaches from each team.
The Appy Manager of the Year is Paul Runge of the Danville Braves. The trainer of the year was Cory Barton of the Bristol White Sox.
