
Three Home Runs Lead to Bulls Victory

Durham, NC - Justin Ruggiano, Reid Brignac and Chris Richard all homered for the Bulls as Durham split the two-game set with the Charlotte Knights, winning 8-2 on Tuesday afternoon at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Durham trailed 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Ruggiano gave the Bulls the lead with an opposite field home run to right making it 3-2. The Bulls scored in every inning after that with a run in the fifth, another in the sixth, a pair in the seventh and another in the eighth.
LHP James Houser (1-1) picked up the victory going five innings allowing only two runs on five hits while striking out four. RHP Justin Cassel (0-2) took the loss allowing four runs on five hits and one strikeout.
