Utah Royals FC News Release
Real Salt Lake
RSL fell to 1-3-1 (4 points) with a 4-2 loss at Rio Tinto Stadium to FC Dallas after falling down a man and a goal within the first 17 minutes. Jefferson Savarino and Marcelo Silva each scored for RSL in defeat - the first of the season for both players. While it was the first RSL goal for Silva, Savarino now has 14 goals since coming to the club in 2017. RSL is now 21-6-7 at home since Head Coach Mike Petke took over in the sixth game of the 2017 season.
In the match, defender Erik Holt exited the match in the 11th minute with an ankle injury and Damir Kreilach was sent off with a red card in the 17th minute. Kreilach will be unavailable next week when RSL takes to the road to face Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field, where RSL earned its first road win of the 2018 season, 1-0 on May 26 behind a goal from Sebastian Saucedo and a shutout by goalkeeper Nick Rimando.
Saturday's match kicks off at 8 p.m. MT and the match will be broadcast live on KMYU and streamed on the KSL TV app and KSL.com, with radio coverage on ESPN700.

Utah Royals FC continues preseason training throughout the week in Sandy as the beginning of its second season in the NWSL quickly approaches.
With an international break looming, URFC had two players - Becky Sauerbrunn and Christen Press - called to the U.S. National Team for upcoming World Cup tune-up matches. In addition, Rachel Corsie has been called in for Scotland, Gunny Jónsdóttir was called to Iceland, Desiree Scott was called for Canada and Katie Bowen was called in for New Zealand.
The team returns to Utah to train this week in further preparations for opening the 2019 season at Rio Tinto Stadium against the Washington Spirit on April 20.
Real Monarchs SLC
The Monarchs (1-1-2, 5 points) suffered their first defeat of the 2019 season on Saturday in Las Vegas. A physical contest ended in a 1-0 loss for the Monarchs, who return home to face Reno 1868 FC on Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.
Goalkeeper David Ochoa saw his personal shutout streak end at 238 consecutive scoreless minutes with a second-half goal against Las Vegas. The RSL Academy product - currently on loan from Real Salt Lake - has allowed just two goals in four matches with the Monarchs this season.

RSL Academy
The RSL Academy split matches at home against Crossfire Premier on Saturday, with the U-17s winning 8-0 and the U-19s falling 4-3 at Zions Bank Real Academy.
The U-17s got goals from seven different players, including two from Christopher Garcia, while goalkeeper Brennan Klein earned his second consecutive shutout. Garcia is now tied for second on the team in scoring with nine goals, trailing only Paul Paul Gindiri with 10 goals this season and even with Bode Davis, who also scored in the match. RSL remains in fourth place in the U.S.S.D.A. Southwest Division with a 11-7-2 record (35 points).
In the second match of the day, the U-19s allowed four goals in a 17-minute span, but rallied to get the score back to 4-3 behind goals from Julian Vazquez, Benjamin Ortiz and Bryce Duke, but couldn't find the equalizer. The 4-3 loss was the first defeat for the U-19s since November 4, going 8-0-3 in that stretch. The RSL Academy U-19s now sit in second place in the U.S.S.D.A. Southwest Division standings with an 11-4-5 (38 points) record.
