Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Two quick goals for the Tri City Storm early in the third period deflated the Waterloo Black Hawks and sent the visitors to a 3-1 loss in Kearney, Nebraska Friday.
Down 1-0 at the start of the final period after a Soren Jonzzon power play goal in the first, Jonzzon struck again with a shot under the crossbar 28 seconds after the intermission. Two minutes and twenty-three seconds later, Darik Angeli sped to the front of the Waterloo goal to slide in a backhand chance. The Black Hawk goal was scored at 8:11 of the period, when Aaron Pearce redirected an Andrew Panzarella slap shot.
Waterloo hopes to bounce back Saturday with a home game against Team USA at 7:05. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Black Hawks lanyard and a free appetizer from Famous Dave's.
