GREEN BAY, Wisc. - The Muskegon Lumberjacks scored three unanswered goals in the third period to win game two of the weekend series over the Green Bay Gamblers by a final score of 3-to-2 on Saturday, Dec. 18 from the Resch Center. Jake Braccini and Quinn Hutson scored for Muskegon, with Jake Richard scoring his fourth goal in as many games. With the win, the Lumberjacks split the weekend series with Green Bay, bank two points, and climb to third place in the Eastern Conference standings before the holiday break.

1st Period

Both teams had plenty of chances, including a Muskegon power play, but no one was able to break the ice in the opening period of action.

Through 20 minutes, the Lumberjacks and Gamblers would head into the first intermission tied 0-to-0.

2nd Period

While on the power play, Green Bay struck first at 16:51 with a goal from Brody Lamb to make it a 1-to-0 game. Damien Carfagna and Ryan Greene picked up assists on Lamb's sixth tally of the season.

With just five seconds left in the period, Alex Servagno batted a puck into the net to give the Gamblers a 2-to-0 lead. Brady Lamb scored the lone assist on Servagno's seventh goal of the season.

After two periods of play, the Jacks trailed 2-to-0 to Green Bay heading into the intermission.

3rd Period

At 6:50 of the third period, Muskegon's Jake Braccini put a crooked number on the scoreboard as he put the Jacks within one. Braccini's 10th goal of the season was unassisted to make it a 2-to-1 score, still in favor of Green Bay.

The Jacks would score the equalizer from Quinn Hutson at 14:15 of the third period. Hutson's 12th goal of the year was assisted by Ben Strinden to tie the game 2-to-2.

With 90 seconds left in regulation, Jake Richard, who has scored in four consecutive games, gave Muskegon the 3-to-2 lead. Richard's fourth of the season was assisted by Noah Ellis and Jack Wiliams.

With the net empty, the Gamblers could not find the leveler as Muskegon walked away with a 3-to-2 victory to split the weekend series.
