PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks will take part in Port Huron Hospital's Diabetes Education Kids Day Camp on Friday, July 25.
The event will take place at Port Huron Hospital, 1221 Pine Grove Avenue and includes interactive activities and prizes for children living with diabetes. The Hawkettes and Diabetes Care Educational Association SuperKid Kaitlyn Amey will be on hand from 1:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. to do an activity with the participants and to sign posters.
"We are proud to work with Port Huron Hospital on such an important event," Icehawks Game Day and Community Relations Coordinator Kelly Carroll said.
The free day camp is open to children 5-12 and runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Prior to the camp, a health intake assessment regarding insulin use must be completed by the child's parent/guardian. To register call the Diabetes Education Department at Port Huron Hospital at 810-989-3362.
