WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE COLTS GAME? The first person who has renewed and paid for their 2005 season tickets to reply to the Fire Wire will win two tickets to this Sunday's Colts/Raiders game in Will Wolford's suite. Put Colts/Raiders in the subject line.
WILDFIRE TRYOUTS... The Wildfires will begin holding try-outs for the 2005 team this Saturday. This season the Wildfires will consist of two squads, a performance squad and a show squad. For more information on the Wildfire try-out go to www.louisvillefirefootball.com. If you would like to pre-register for the try-out e-mail lynda@louisvillefirefootball.com.
PLAYER TRYOUTS... The Fire will also be holding an open player try-out on October 30 at Old Cardinal Stadium. The try-out will be for wide receivers, defensive backs, quarterbacks and running backs only. For more info on the player try-out go to www.louisvillefirefootball.com.
FREE AGENTS... The AFL began signing free agents last week. We don't have any news on Fire players yet, but as soon as we hear something we will let you know.
COACHES HAVE ANOTHER WINNING WEEK... Las weekend's showdown between Demetrius Forney and the Clarksville Generals and Alfonzo Browning and North Harrison went to Clarksville 27 â 6. Atherton and Tony Stallings' fell to PRP 51-6 and will face St. X this weekend. Will Wolford's St. X Tigers defeated Iroquois 62-0. Trinity and Oscar Brohm defeated Eastern 53-14. Coach Johnson and KCD beat Green County 46-20.
COLLEGE COACHES WIN ALSO... The Anderson Ravens and Coach Shackleford defeated Franklin in a, 45-43, shootout to run their record to 3-1. Fire OL/DL Andrew Tippins and St. Cloud State (6-0) remain undefeated beating North Dakota 21 - 17.
