SHOW YOUR AMERICAN PRIDE by attending the Inaugural Patriot Game. The Patriot Game is a basketball game pitting Louisville Fire & Rescue against Louisville Metro Police on Thursday September 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Bellarmine University in Knights Hall. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for ages 3-18, and can be purchased by calling The Healing place at (502) 357-1981, visiting the Patriot Game website at www.patriotgame.com, or at Bellarmine tomorrow night.

THE GOLDEN DOME... All the votes have been added up and Fire fans think Brian Brohm is going to choose Notre Dame. Results are listed below.

FIRE WINS LEAGUE AWARD... The Fire won the 2003 af2 award for Best Season Ticket Brochure. While all of our 2003 brochures are gone, we do have our new & improved 2004 season ticket brochure. If you wish to receive one reply to The Fire Wire with your name and address and we will drop one in the mail.

GOT TICKETS? This month's season ticket drawing is a package of pro and college football tickets. The ticket package starts with two tickets to the Cincinnati Bengals/Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday October 19 at Paul Brown Stadium. The second set of tickets will be two tickets for the University of Louisville game on Saturday November 15 as they take on rival Memphis. The final set of tickets is for the November 29 UK game at Commonwealth Stadium as they square off against the Tennessee Volunteers. For every $99 paid for in season tickets you will get one entry into the drawing. If you haven't renewed your tickets or you want to buy 2004 season tickets you can do so by calling (502) 368-0009. Tickets for all eight home games start at $49 and will include parking for all eight home games.

FIRE PLAYERS AND COACHES HAVE ROUGH WEEK... Fire assistant coach Oscar Brohm is assisting the Trinity Shamrocks again this season and the Rocks lost their third straight game on Friday night 37-36 to Manual. Trinity is off this Friday, but will return to action on September 19 at Seneca. Fire OL/DL coach Pat Chitwood is calling the plays for St X. who suffered their first defeat of 2003 to Lexington Catholic, 19-14. St. X is also off this week, but will come back next week to face Male. Fire FB/LB Demetrius Forney and the Clarksville Generals also suffered their third loss to Brownstown 51-6. The Generals will take on Salem this Friday. Former Fire OS Anthony Payton helped led the Tigers to their second straight win over Shawnee, 35-32. The Tigers will travel to Moore this Friday night. Fire WR/LB Alfonzo Browning is an assistant with the J-Town Chargers who had the week off. J-Town (2-0) will battle Atherton on Friday night.

FLICK BALL POSTPONED THURSDAY... Flick ball will not be played this Thursday due to September 11. Flick ball will make its grand return to the Buffalo Wild Wings on Dixie Highway next Thursday, September 18 from 7-9 p.m. Registration for the Flick Ball tournament will start at 7:00 p.m., and the tournament will begin at 8:00 p.m. Fire DS Arkee Thompson will again be on hand to take on all comers in Flick Ball.

THE EAGLES ARE BACK BABY... Once again Fire owner/operator Will Wolford is coaching the Holy Trinity Eagles. Last season the Eagles won the 5th and 6th Grade Toy Bowl Championship. This season they move up to 7th and 8th grade and started the season off right with a 40-8 victory over St. Rita.
