The American Basketball Association Macon-based Georgia Gwizzlies 2007-08 ended last nite,just as it had started last November,quietly.The team from Midland Texas had scheludling conflict due to other committments and could not play the Gwizzlies on Friday.Atlanta Vision was selected to represent the South Region in the ABA Super 8,since they sported an undefeated record in the division."We want to thank the ABA league officials for a chance to be ABA and in the playoffs, fans,local Macon media as we build toward a championship caliber team for 2008-09" states Gwizzlies owner Embry Malone.The Gwizzlies hope to open it's next season on the road against the Nashville Broncos in November.Winston-Salem and Mississippi also will be opponents of the Gwizzlies in 2008-09.
