FORMER TORNADO DEFENSEMAN WOZNIEWSKI MAKES MAPLE LEAFS OPENING NIGHT ROSTER Overnight, former Texas Tornado defenseman Andy Wozniewski has become a celebrity. Four years departed from Texas Tornado, defenseman becomes the surprise of the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp and has made the Opening Night roster. The Maple Leafs open their 2005-06 season with a game against the Ottawa Senators on October 5th. "This is an unbelievable feeling," said Wozniewski. "I have had so many calls from everyone." "At that time, I saw a lot of things other didn't see and brought him down to Texas." Wozniewski played for the Texas Tornado during the 2000-2001 season, where he was a 1st team All-NAHL selection, scoring 44 points in 54 regular season games. His performance also earned him a spot on the 2001 NAHL All-Star Team.
