Texas Thunder to Host Clinics in Sugar Land and Pearland

HOUSTON - The Texas Thunder will host clinics in Sugar Land and Pearland at the beginning of August as announced today by team general manager Aaron M. Moore.

The first clinic will be held on Tuesday morning, August 1, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Imperial Park in Sugar Land, Texas. Players expected to appear at this clinic are infielders Karrie Rider and Nina Lindenberg, outfielder Julie Watson, catcher Denise Dahlberg and pitcher Serena Settlemier.

The second Texas Thunder clinic will be held at Dad's Club in Pearland, Texas on Tuesday, August 8. The time of this clinic will also be from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and will feature several Thunder players. Expected to work, as clinicians are infielders Lindsay Gardner, Adrian Gregory and Clare Burnum, outfielder Danyele Gomez and pitcher Nicole Neuerburg.

Participants can sign up for the Texas Thunder clinics in advance by downloading the form at www.thunderprofastpitch.com/community or by calling the Thunder office at (281) 403-2475. Participants are also welcome to register onsite on the days of the clinics.

The cost of each session is $40 per player and includes a clinic t-shirt, a general admission ticket to the final series of the season with Team Canada, three hours of instruction and an autograph session. Both clinics are open to any girls' ages 6-18.

After splitting a series with the Akron Racers last weekend, the Thunder will host the United States National Team for a four-game series beginning on Friday night. Game one of the series is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. at Big League Dreams in League City (I-45 and Calder Road).
