Los Angeles KISS News Release
Brandon Collins was raised in Brenham, Texas where he attended Brenham High School. In addition to being selected to first-team All-Greater Houston on offense and defense, Collins also earned all-district honors as a point guard in basketball and was a regional qualifier for track and field in the hurdles and long jump. The first year LA KISS wide receiver began his college career at the University of Texas. In his two seasons with the Longhorns, Collins caught 35 passes for 430 yards and three touchdowns. He transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University for his last year of eligibility. Collins was second on the team with 61 catches for a team-high 746 yards and five touchdowns. In 2015, the wide receiver played his rookie season for the ArenaBowl Champion San Jose SaberCats; he caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Before coming to the AFL, Collins spent time with the New York Giants and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. In his LA KISS debut last week, Collins tallied five receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns. He was awarded with the AFL highlight of the game for his 19-yard touchdown at the end of the first half. Look for Collins to continue to add speed to the explosive LA KISS offense.
