New York/New Jersey Juggernaut News Release

New York, NY – May 27, 2005 – The New York Juggernaut is set for Opening Day vs. the Venezuelan National Team on Thursday, June 7th at 7:00 p.m. The Juggernaut anticipates their New York debut and encourages all to come out and support the team. Terry Cashman, a New York Native and former minor league baseball player in the Detroit Tiger Organization in 1959 and 1960, grew up watching and playing baseball. At that same time he was making records as a lead singer of a group called The Chevrons which had three chart successes in the years 1958-60. The fact that Terry's group appeared on American Bandstand, at the same time he was playing professional baseball, was a forerunner of things to come in Terry Cashman's unique involvement with both music and baseball. Terry Cashman is written and produce over 70 baseball songs, including "Talkin' Baseball," "The Money Doesn't Matter To Me," "Ichiro" and "The Ballad of Herb Score." The New York Juggernaut is excited to have Mr. Cashman out to sing the national anthem at opening day.

Opening Day begins the Juggernaut 2005 season at their new home at the Hofstra University Softball Stadium on Long Island. The move to New York comes after capturing the 2004 NPF title at their previous stadium at Montclair State University in New Jersey. The new Stadium features dugouts and seating for approximately 1,000 spectators including bleacher seating in the outfield.

Tickets to the Opening Series vs. the Venezuelan National Team are priced at $5 a game. Come out and support the NY Juggernaut. Juggernaut games are fun for all ages.
