Terrence Isaac Signs for 2006

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats are pleased to announce the signing of wide receiver Terrence Isaac and quarterback Brain Villanueva. Isaac and Villanueva return to the team for 2006 after playing briefly for the BlueCats in 2004.

Isaac's professional career includes private workouts with the Dallas Cowboys in 2001 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004. In 2005 he was in training camp with the San Jose SaberCats of the AFL.

His playing career also includes time with the semi-pro Austin Rattlers. In 2002 he recorded 45 catches for 965 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games. In 2001 he played in 4 games with the Rattlers catching 13 passes for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In college Isaac attended and played football for Midwestern State and Texas A&M Commerce. Before his time as a NCAA Division II player, he was a standout at the junior college level at Vermillion Community College. In 1995 and 1996 he was named 1st Team All-American and 1st Team All-Conference. In 1995 he was 4th in the nation (NJCAA) in receiving and in 1996 he finished the season 2nd in receiving. He played in the 1996 All-American Bowl in Minneapolis where scored two touchdowns and was received MVP honors.

Villanueva returns to Evansville after playing in 5 games for the BlueCats during the 2004 campaign. Aside from his time in Evansville in 2004, he also has professional playing experience with the Louisiana Rangers in 2002, the Tri-City Diesel in 2003, and the San Angelo Stampede in 2005.

Last season, Villanueva passed for 1178 yards, 22 touchdown, and 14 interceptions in 11 games with the San Angelo Stampede. He also rushed for four touchdowns and threw for 3 two-point conversions.

Villanueva attended college at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia.
